Buon Giorno!!!

That is funny the ass sandwiches sign. In Chinese how you say good luck is Fuku...which sounds like a bad word in English...

More history lessons...Favignana is famous for being site of Prehistoric living area!!! So human beings lived there for very very long time!!! It's amazing...

And they have grottos and places to go snorkelling...and is the place for the ragazze della spiaggio to hang out [beach bunnies]...

Now, we turn our attention to Palermo. I just realized I have a book THE HISTORY OF SIENNESE PAINTING. And I thought, I bet has something about Sicily in here.

And it does! What it said is, at first the Catholica Church had two branches. The Eastern branch at Constantinople was much wealthier. How they flaunted their wealth was decorate the churches with mosaics. And since Palermo was very big city at one time, there is one church there that is famous for mosaics of Christ and is in this art history book written by Harvard professor.

Then the Roma branch of Catholicosm wanted to imitate the wealth of Byzantine empire. So it commissioned frescoes [wall paintings] because is cheaper and faster than doing a mosaic.

Anyways if you ever go to Palermo, that is a very famous church with art worthy mosaics to scrutinize. The author said most tourists do not know it is there but the art history buffs do.

Nice hearing from you!!! I'm glad you finally got to taste couscous, that is a famous dish of Trapani Marsalla area, according to Plotkin.
