This morning I had leftover tortellini and bragioli for breakfast,then I went to grocery store. I bought some chick peas,canaloni beans,tomato sauce and pasta to make pasta fagoli. I also bought some anchovies,angel hair pasta,olives,capers, to make Christmas eve spagetti. At the vegetable stand, near the grocer, I picked up some ecarole.
I needed to find a notary, I went to the address I was given, made an appointed to see her at 4 PM. On the way back to apartment stopped for a café, and bought a roll at the bakery.
I had a sandwich with mortadella,head cheese,bib lettuce,cherry tomatoes,provalone cheese,olive oil, and balsmic vinager .
Went to notary, got there a little early so I went to a gelateiria , had the most delcious flavor. It was dark chocolate with sliced nuts and candied bitter orange peel.It compared well but not as good, to ice cream I have had at “Queenies” on Captivia Island in Florida. I took pictures of the owners of the shoppe and their preparation room.
As I was walking out of the shoppe a women stopped me ,she remembered me from the morning. Her uncle lives in Orlando Florida, he is retired and owns a trailer park there. He had a well known Italian restaurant on Long Island.Then we went to the notary. The notaries office was in a restored palace,it had beautiful unusual floors, it was furnished Italian contemporary . The notary Dr Rosanna Figlioli ,was an attractive young lady ,heavy with child.
As I was returning to my apartment passed the old lady at the church, gave her a few coins and she gave me a few blessings.
I prepared The escarole with anchovies,capers,garlic and olive oil,that was my supper. I spent 2 hours trying to send an email with pictures,I kept loosing the signal during the download.
