Today I went to my favorite gelateria had a great chocolate, hazelnut gelato! I bought a bottle of local Amaretto,it is delicious, have it on the rocks.
Only seems the two things more expensive here are pine nuts about $20 a pound and gasoline, that is $ 5 a gallon.
I have not seen the old lady by the church, hope she is OK.

Hi!

Sounds delicious!

***

I saw a website www.myitaliancitizenship.com

Did your father become a naturalized US citizen before you were born?

If the answer is too private you don't have to respond.

That's interesting pine nuts are more expensive there.

I also saw in the online CIA Factbook for Italy: "Persistent Problems - illegal immigration.

"Italy's long coastline and developed economy entices tens of 1000s of illegal immigrants from SE Europe and N. Africa [Morocco?!!]"

***

Also found out Victor Emmanuel was Italy's first king in 1861 [your many pics of memorials to him].

***

Also discovered that there is a museum of salt in Trapani.

Love

Your church lady friend is probably filling up her Piaggio with some $5. gallon gas, and driving to pick up a kil of pignola nuts with all those coins you've been giving her!
